DP Fuel Tank Services - demolition, tank excavation, tank removal, tank disposal, decommissioning, hot cutting, cold cutting, UK
As well as preparing tanks for removal, DP Fuel Tank Services is equipped to carry out civil engineering work.
We carry out work that is necessary for the excavation and removal of oil, diesel, petrol and other types of storage tanks. This includes the breaking out and lifting out underground storage tanks, the demolition of buildings and canopies and the final backfilling and resurfacing in accordance with client’s requirements. All materials will be recycled wherever possible.
In providing such a comprehensive fuel tank excavation service, DP Fuel Tank Services enables clients to keep the number of contractors on site down to a minimum, resulting in improved safety controls and efficiency.
As a principal contractor, DP Fuel Tank Services will make sure that all fuel tank excavation and removal work is undertaken in accordance with CDM regulations.
Apart from the standard methods of fuel tank excavation, we offer a cold cutting process using powerful hydraulic shears, cutting out fuel tanks directly from the excavation. This is especially useful on sites where fuel tanks have been installed close to retaining walls as it avoids any structural damage.
Sensitive sites also benefit as the shears can cut fuel tanks into manageable sizes, thus eliminating the need for hot cutting on site. Using this method on sites with soil contamination will help to alleviate excessive digging out and the costly removal of material, leaving the area better suited to on-site remediation, subject of course to our environmental consultant’s verification.
When necessary, environmental soil and water reports can be compiled and any subsequent actions undertaken, quickly and efficiently.
